In 2005 Hovey Lee launched her first jewelry line and captured the attention of the fashion and art communities. Since then her jewelry has been selected by fine art exhibits and featured in jewelry shows and boutiques around the nation and overseas. She specializes in Handmade jewelry, eco jewelry, wedding jewelry, handmade earrings, pearl earrings, handmade necklaces, charm bracelets, pendant necklaces. 

All of her metal and gemstones come from vintage jewelry, metal reclaimer, and fair trade green certified sources. They use natural stones and avoid all kinds of artificial treatment, 100% reclaimed brass, recycled gold and silver, and in-house plating techniques.  All Hovey Lee jewelry is designed and produced in Los Angeles, California.    

As artisan jewelry maker, Hovey uses both classic and modern wiring, beading, and metalsmithing techniques to create jewelry that features the beauty of the materials used. A wide variety of textures, patinas and finishing techniques are used to bring the pieces to life. 

Semi-precious stones, natural and sometimes man-made materials accent and compliment the designs. She works in a range of materials including standard and Argentium sterling silver, karat golds, gold-filled, vermeil, brass and copper to produce jewellery that is meant to be tough and beautiful.    

  At Hovey Lee Designs they thrive to reflect their customers' interest in designs by offering thoughtful, inspired and meaningful pieces that are personal and timeless. Hovey Lee implements the principles of socially and economically responsible business by working with Fair Trade vendors and eco-friendly material producers. 

About the Artist:

As a child Hovey adored her mother's great sense of style and always loved the visits to tailors and jewelers. She was also enchanted by the eclectic designs and custom furniture her father, an interior designer, created for their home. Hovey has a degree in music as well as library science, but jewelry making has been apart of her life since her teenage years. With the constant encouragement and support from her friends and family, Hovey launched her own jewelry line in 2005 and instantly captured the attention of both the fashion and art communities. She was selected by Gen Art Fresh Faces in Fashion as the accessory designer that same year.

Hovey's collection is inspired by both design forms and by world cultures. She studies the essential design elements from different ethnic styles and fuses them with her California sensibility to create a stylish, interesting and fresh look.
