Bottled Up Designs Giveaway Ends May 20, 2010

A few Months Ago I was so thrilled to find this cool Eco-Store called Sweet Organics and Naturals. For Review, they sent me the coolest pair of Earrings, made from Recycled Noxema Jars.  Antique Bottle Glass Earrings, with a cool new twist. Liking my earrings so Much I contacted Bottled Up Designes, the company that made my earrings,  and was really delighted when Laura the designer and artist sponsored a Giveaway here at Todays Diva!
This wonderful recycled glass jewelry is handmade in Pennsylvania from antique glass and bottles reclaimed from the natural wooded habitats and rural farmlands.  To share the history of these beautiful broken treasures, each piece comes with "The Story of the Glass" detailing what the glass was originally and the approx. age.
About this Artist
brokenmasonAn avid glass and bottle collector, I have lived in the Pennsylvania Amish Country all of my life. As a collector, I have spent countless hours poking through the many old glass and bottle dumps scattered throughout the natural wooded habitats and rural farmlands where I live.
One thing that has always bothered me though, is how collectors take the valuable whole bottles and glass pieces, but leave the broken glass behind for the environment and the wildlife to deal with. dump2I have seen baby deer laying in the broken glass, foxes, squirrels and countless other wildlife running through it. Even birds landing in the glass while searching for a meal. To me, though broken, this glass still has beauty and history, so I decided to pick up the pieces and turn them into something beautiful again, in my remarkable line of recycled glass jewelry. Each piece of this eco friendly jewelry is truly "A Little Piece of History for you to Wear."
As a collector, I have prepared for each piece "The Story of the Glass" detailing what the glass was originally and the age of the piece.

A truly unique way to preserve the past while helping the future.

Laura Bergman, Reclaim Artist
Originally manufactured for Noxzema, Milk of Magnesia, Vick's Vap-O-Rub, Bromo Seltzer jars, these broken pieces of deep blue glass are reclaimed from old glass dumps in wooded habitats and rural farmlands and given a makeover of their own!

After being hand cut and carefully smoothed, each piece is drilled and wrapped in pure sterling. Due to the nature of antique glass and each piece being hand worked, there will be differences in waves, bubbles, and hues. Each piece comes with "The Story of the Glass" detailing the history of your piece of glass making each a true conversation piece!
The glass measures 1/4" in width x 1" in length. Each hangs from sterling silver French wires and has a total hang length of approx 1 1/2".

Each piece is a unique way to "Preserve History, While Helping the Future".
